Just a quick note as we have to leave for the orphanage soon (I'll fill in more later, and Darla and Paul I owe you a note as well, and will try to do so this evening if possible).
We are leaving for the orphanage at 3pm. We will have a party with their friends and then pick up Valik and Ruslan. Afterward, we are going for pizza with the MacDonalds.
Tomorrow, we leave for Kiev. More soon.

You guys are about to become a family of 6!!! Wow! I can't believe everything is finally coming together, although I'm sure it seems like it has taken forever to you guys.
Nancy, I planted that amaryllis you gave us at Thanksgiving. It has been blooming for about 2 weeks now. I think of you guys and your growing, blossoming family every time I see it. Have fun in Kiev. We can't wait to see you when you get back to the States!
Hooray! Though I had a feeling t as you headed for Lugansk at first.. this would be it.
By the time you read this you will have two new members of the family. To them I say (I hope I remember this correctly) "Zdrastvityeh!" (If I'm wrong, please say it correctly for me, Nick or Nancy. Hello, welcome!) Let's see ummm "eelee Famehleah." I think a soft sign went in there somewhere. "To the family." That's what I'm trying to say.
Now, about setting foot on American soil. Does that include the Embassy? Technically it is supposed to be American soil. Will they be citizens then?
Forget the Black Sea. Sight-see in Kyiv a few days and then Hurry Home.
